Creating Patient Prescription
The Nice HMS system simplifies the process of creating and managing prescriptions for healthcare professionals, especially doctors. This reference guide outlines the steps to efficiently navigate the system for prescription management.
1. Log in as a Doctor
Begin by accessing the Nice HMS system and log in with your authorized doctor's credentials.
2. Access 'My Patients'
After logging in, locate the 'My Patients' section, typically found in the side panel. This section serves as the central hub for patient management and prescription creation.
3. Choose the Relevant Tab
- OPD (Outpatient Department)
The 'OPD' tab, short for the Outpatient Department, automatically displays your current OPD patients, which includes today's encounters. You can also review past OPD encounters by adjusting the date as needed.
- IPD (Inpatient Department)
The 'IPD' tab provides information about patients currently admitted under your care, with their encounters in an ongoing state.
- Request
The 'Request' tab caters to various procedure requests, including Endoscopy, ECHO, and blood tests for pathologists or technicians.
4. Select a Patient
Click on the specific patient for whom you wish to create a prescription. This action directs you to a page where you can manage patient records and proceed with the prescription creation process.
5. Create a New Prescription
- Click on 'New Prescription' to generate a new prescription.
- Use the notes input box to add brief notes and provide advice regarding a follow-up date, if necessary.
6. Add Medicines
- Choose medicines from the provided list, typically containing common medications, and click 'Add.'
- If the required medicine is not listed, you can add it to your personalized list for future use.
7. Submit the Prescription
Once you've made your selections and added all necessary information, click 'Submit' to finalize the prescription.
8. Choose Delivery Method
- After submitting the prescription, select your preferred delivery method. You can either print the prescription for a physical copy or send it to the patient via WhatsApp for their convenience.
9. Clone Prescription
Within the Nice HMS system, you have the option to clone prescriptions from previous records. This feature significantly expedites the prescription creation process, allowing you to replicate and modify previous prescriptions for patients, thus saving time and ensuring prescribing accuracy.
