Admin Dashboard

Overview

The Admin Dashboard is the central hub for configuring your NICE HMS organization. It is accessible only to users with the Admin role. Free plan organizations cannot access this page — an upgrade is required.

Accessing the Admin Panel

1. Log in with an Admin account.
2. Click Admin from the sidebar.
3. The dashboard opens with cards for each management area.

Dashboard Cards

Organization

• Edit — Update organization name, address, contact details, and branding.
• Uploads — Upload letter pad headers. See Printing and Setting Up Letter Pad Header.
• Settings — Configure GST, billing defaults, and other preferences. See Organization Settings.
• NHCX — Register as an NHCX participant for PMJAY/insurance integration.
• NHCX Update — Update existing NHCX participant details.

User

• New User — Add staff members. See Adding More Users.
• Search | Edit | Inactivate User — Find users, edit roles, activate/deactivate, and reset passwords.

Doctor

• New Doctor from Users — Convert an existing user to a doctor profile. See Creating Doctors.
• Search | Edit — Edit doctor profiles, specialties, and inactive status.
• Uploads — Upload doctor-specific documents and signatures.

Account Management

• Cash Access — Manage cash handling permissions for users. See Cash Access.
• Account Master — Create and manage ledger accounts. See Accounts Master.
• Item Sub Head — Define item sub-categories for accounting.
• Item Tariff Name — Create tariff plans for pricing.
• Item Master — Manage items (services, drugs, consumables). See Item Management.
• Tariff Item Master — Assign tariff values to items.

Department

• New Department — Create departments (OPD, IPD, Pharmacy, Lab, etc.).
• Search | Edit Department — Modify or deactivate departments.

Service Ads

• Manage promotional banners and service advertisements displayed in the app.

Service Request Masters

• Create Custom Panel — Define a set of tests as a panel/package.
• Create Single Test — Add individual diagnostic tests.
• Search | Edit Panels — Modify or deactivate existing panels and tests.

Bed Management

• Create Location — Add wards/rooms. See Bed Management.
• Create Bed — Add beds to a location.
• Search/Edit — Modify or deactivate wards and beds.

FAQ

Q: Can I have multiple admins? A: Yes. There is no limit on the number of Admin users.

Q: Can admin access be restricted to certain sections? A: The Admin role has full access. For limited access, assign a different role and configure permissions via Roles and Permissions.

Q: Why can't I see the Admin Dashboard? A: Free plan organizations are redirected away from the admin panel. Upgrade your plan to access admin features.
